Snowspeeder!

My newest assignment is the Star Wars snowspeeder. In case you don't remember what that looks like, here's the reference I've been working off of:

And here's my work so far:

So many more details to add, so little time!

  1. Hi Butters!

Love that you had to do a snowspeeder! Lookin good too, totally and instantly recognizable without the reference photo!

Do you have to take it all the way through texturing and lighting/rendering? Or just modeling? In either case, keep it around for future use, its a good model!

  2. Hey Chris!
Thanks for your comments -- I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to respond! Things have been crazy!

Fortunately, we don't have to texture it. Truthfully, I don't yet know how to add a texture to only part of an object (but it would be sooo helpful, right about now). The images here do have three-point lighting (albeit, not very good). I really need to work on my lighting skills!

  3. I am so freakin' impressed!!! What program do you use to do the drawing? I've always wanted to take a spin at computer drawing.

  4. Hey Jennylind!
The program is so much fun -- I think you would love it! It's called Autodesk 3ds Max.
