I'm in my first semester of 3d animation and am absolutely LOVING the work we're doing. I thought that it could be fun to chronicle my progress, even though none of my work is professional-level. Yet.
My first assignment was to create a robot of my own design using primitives, or pre-made, alterable 3-dimensional shapes. The software I'm using is Autodesk 3d Studio Max, which comes with about 7 (don't quote me on that number) primitives.
Meet Spybot!

I think he turned out pretty cute! He disguises himself as a Roomba, but when no one is looking, out comes his surveillance camera, microphone, etc.
...And yes, that's a USB port for his eye. I didn't have any grasp of lighting when I made this, so it's hard to make out some of the details because the picture is so dark. I'm pretty happy with this for my first-ever project, though!
